Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Lionel Messi the center of the Paris Saint Germain attack showed itself (PSG) in the process of the goal he scored against Angers in Ligue 1.
PSG led 1-0 thanks to Hugo Ekitike’s goal in the first half. However, this lead has not put Les Parisiens at ease as Angers still have the potential to threaten and dash PSG’s hopes of grabbing three points.
In this situation, Messi then emerged as the decisive winner for PSG thanks to the goal scored in the 72nd minute. The goal described Messi as the center of attack for ‘Les Parisiens’.
The goal started when Messi controlled the ball outside the Angers penalty area in an innocuous situation. Angers’ backline was still full of players and fully focused on fending off PSG’s attacks.
Messi gives a pass to Neymar, then Neymar gives the ball back to Messi. After receiving the ball, Messi chose to move the attack to the other side, namely the left side of the Angers defence.
Messi also sent a decoy which was received by Sergio Ramos. Messi ran to Ramos and Ramos immediately fed Messi.
Without holding the ball, Messi immediately sent the ball to Hugo Ekitike. Ekitike held the ball before sending the ball to Nordi Mukiele who was already in the penalty area.
Messi also ran into the penalty area when the ball was sent towards Mukiele. Mukiele, who understands Messi’s movements, then returned to hand the ball to the player with the number 30 on his back.
Messi met one-on-one with Angers goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni. Without much difficulty, Messi fired a shot at the far post that left Bernardoni helpless.
PSG won 2-0 and that result keeps them firmly top of the table on 47 points, six points behind Lens.
