Barcelona captain Lionel Messi traveled to Argentina with his family to spend the Christmas vacation granted by coach Ronald Koeman.
Barcelona beat Valladolid, 3-0, on Tuesday in the 15th round of La Liga matches.
Messi scored his team’s third goal in that match, exceeding the historical record recorded in the name of the legendary Pele, as more than one team’s record, with 644 goals.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Messi traveled with members of his family to Argentina from Valladolid airport, after the match, through a special flight.
On Sunday, December 27, Messi is expected to re-join training and resume the season, unless he agrees with Koeman otherwise.
