Messi equalizes Pele’s record: 643 goals for a club

Lionel Messi has set an ancient record for Pelé: The Argentine star footballer scored his 643rd goal for FC Barcelona – as many as the Brazilian icon between 1957 and 1974 for FC Santos.

Still, Barcelona came to only one 2:2 (1:1) in the home game against FC Valencia. In addition to Messi (45th), Ronald Araujo (52nd) also met for Barcelona. Mouctar Diakhaby (29th) and Maxi Gomez (69th) scored the goals for the guest.

The leader of the Spanish Primera Division remains thanks to star striker Luis Suárez Atlético Madrid.
