Signal has introduced a new feature for individual and group calls: These are called audio indicators. Sounds complicated, but it’s simple and effective. There is a new display so that during conversations – especially in groups – you can directly see who is speaking or who is making the disturbing background noise.
This consists of points at the respective contact, which are animated in a wavy manner when spoken there. For the time being, however, the display is only available on Android devices (from version 5.36.3) – as is the latest emoji (version 14).
However, iPhone users do not go away empty-handed. You can now also see the length of a video before sending it in the latest iOS version of Messenger (5.36.1).
