This was the first time that both music projects – “Mesa” and “Gacho” – could be seen and heard cooperating and complementing each other on the same stage – within the framework of one concert.
The legendary hip-hop group S’T’A, which is considered one of the cornerstones of the beginning of this culture in Latvian music, also took part in the big concert as special guests.
This was just one of the surprises, because Pēteris Upelnieks, the association “Laika Suns”, Justs also joined the GACHO and MESA projects on stage in various compositions, and at the climax during the song “Values”, which is so popular among fans, the iconic domestic singer – Ieva Akuratere – took to the stage.
In total, more than 20 musicians participated in the concert with instrumental and vocal performances. Especially heartfelt extended songs ’25’ and ‘Who Wanna Fly’, in which GACHO rapped on stage with, perhaps, the next generation of young rappers – the little guys Ralph and Karl.
Gatis himself repeatedly emphasized during the concert that the feelings are difficult to describe and that this event will probably settle in his mind only after a day or two. The Mežaparks concert was the most attended concert of the GACHO and MESA projects so far. The audience’s involvement and singing along was also truly remarkable, according to the concert organizers.
