Krists Mertens has been working for the company since 2015, managing business development projects, including overseeing the company’s start-up in the Latvian natural gas market. From 2018, Mertens has been a member of the Board of Enefit, responsible for the implementation of Eesti Energia’s development strategy in both the corporate and household market segments in Latvia and at the same time monitoring the company’s compliance with energy market regulations.
Taking into account that one of Enefit’s strategic goals in the coming years is to continue growth in the retail market segment by introducing new products and services, Mārtiņš Vancāns joins the company’s Board, under whose supervision Enefit successfully started servicing retail customers last year. Previously, Vancāns worked in various positions in a telecommunications company “Tet“Educated at the Banking Institution of Higher Education with a master’s degree in innovative entrepreneurship. One of Vancāns’ main tasks will continue to be to ensure the further growth of the Enefit household segment by developing the company’s offering in this field.” in the field.
Inese Dose has so far worked in Eesti Energia’s new product development team, leading projects of various scales in the Baltic States and Poland. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Global Energy from Warwick Business School in the UK and more than 10 years of experience helping to develop energy consulting business for businesses in London and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Latvia. The dossier will be overseen by Enefit’s business development and the implementation of new solutions in the corporate market segment.
The main tasks of the Enefit Board remain to ensure the stable operation of the company and to maintain the leading position in the Latvian energy market. At the same time, important goals for the near future are to continue working on the introduction of new energy products and solutions in both the corporate and retail market segments in Latvia, helping to improve energy efficiency, reduce energy costs and support climate change mitigation.
