[인포스탁데일리=김연수 기자] Meritz Financial Group has completed the establishment of a practical integrated ‘holding-centered management system’.
According to the industry on the 20th, Meritz Financial Group announced that it had carried out executive reshuffles and appointed Vice Chairman Kim Yong-beom as Meritz Financial Group’s CEO and head of the group debt division, and Vice Chairman Choi Hee-moon as Meritz Financial Group’s group operation division head.
Meritz Group explained that it has assigned a large number of key personnel to the holding company in the debt and operating departments.
A Meritz Group official said, “While the new CEO will organize practical affairs in securities and fire, Vice Chairman Kim Yong-beom and Choi Hee-moon will oversee related work at the holding company and focus on risk management.”
Kim Kyung-hwan, vice president of the group debt division, oversees strategic sales at Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance and supports Vice Chairman Kim Yong-beom at the holding company.
Kim Jong-min and Yeo Eun-seok, vice presidents of the group management division, will also serve as head of the asset management department at Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance and head of the project finance business division at Meritz Securities.
Wonjae Jang, head of Sales & Trading, was appointed as CEO of Meritz Securities, a subsidiary, and Joonghyeon Kim, head of management support (executive director), was appointed as CEO of Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance.
New CEO Jang Won-jae started as Managing Director of Risk Management at Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance in 2015 and served as CRO and Vice President of Risk Management at Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance until 2020.
He has been in charge of the S&T division since 2021 and was promoted to president last year.
Meritz Financial Group explained that it actively recruited young and promising talents for this executive reshuffle.
He added that he plans to introduce a CEO succession program to select candidates for the next-generation group CEO and promote management stability.
