Merel Westrik is not counting on a new season of talk show Ladies Night at Net5. That says the forty-year-old presenter Friday on NPO Radio 1.
“I don’t think so”, Westrik answers when asked if Ladies Night returns after the summer. “I don’t know. It is an uncertain time with corona. Budgets are under pressure at the commercial broadcasters and there are cutbacks. I have no idea exactly how it goes.”
It is also unclear to Westrik when exactly she can be seen again at Net5. “We had a quiet summer and are planning for the fall.”
Producer Talpa stopped recording the second season of the corona crisis in April Ladies Night. The program gave way to several films. The decision was striking, because in the weeks before the admissions took place under the same conditions.
Westrik has been presenting since her switch from RTL to Net5 in 2019 Ladies Night. The talk show had relatively low ratings. The last episode on April 8 attracted 132,000 viewers. The talk show started the season with 257,000 viewers.
Talpa says in a response that no decision has yet been taken Ladies Night.
