Merehau Mervin is the new Director of Health

Merehau Mervin, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, replaces Laurence Bonnac-Théron as Director of this service.

Merehau Mervin, PhD in Health Economics from the University of Queensland (Australia), will take up her new role as Director of Health on 1is April. Laurence Bonnac-Théron, whom she replaces, is appointed head of Fare Tama Hau (the House of adolescents and children) after the announcement of the retirement of Dr Daniel Dumont. The decrees of the Council of Ministers were published in the last Official Journal.

In post in the Health Department for 4 years, Merehau Mervin was more specifically responsible for the implementation of the Health Organization Plan. Since the start of the epidemic, she was also in charge of planning and supervising the covid platform.
