Police arrested a doctor suspected of using Russian consulate fake plate for his cars in Medan. There are four cars that use fake plates, one of which is a Mercedes-Benz (Mercy).
Reported from Between, Friday (27/8/2021), the cars used white plates with the words CC or Corps Consulaire. The car consists of various brands.
“Initially we found a Hyundai car that used a fake number plate parked at a hospital in Medan. After we checked it turned out to be MF’s. Then we carried out an expansion to the residence and found three other cars,” said (Plt) Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Polrestabes Kompol Rafles .
The cars belonging to the doctor with the initials MF use CC-37 plates with different endings for each car. Some end in 07, 01, and others.
“After checking, there is no Consulate Corps from Russia in Indonesia. So the representatives in Indonesia are in Jakarta and that is the embassy. So the plates should be CDs, not CCs,” he said.
He said no suspect has been named in this case because the police are still investigating.
“No suspects have been identified yet. The handling process is still under investigation,” he said.

Doctor Admits Wrong
MF is said to have admitted his actions. Police said MF pleaded guilty to using fake plate the.
“He has also admitted that using the CC plate is his fault. He does not have any documents from the Russian Embassy or at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that he hopes to use the CC plate,” said Rafles.
