At the special request of the artist, George Wassouf, one of the sheikhs recited the Koran in mourning “Wadih, the son of Sultan Al-Tarab, and “Wassouf” accepted condolences for his son, as family and friends came to offer condolences in Kafroun, Syria.
Twitter pioneers shared a video of one of the sheikhs reciting the Holy Quran in condolences, and “Wassouf” appeared in the video alongside Sheikh Yasser, and the latter recited the verses from the Surat “Maryam” in between to the public .
Sultan Al-Tarab greeted his eldest son, Wadih, in St. Nicholas Church – Ashrafieh, and George appeared with marks of sadness and refraction upon him, surrounded by his children and family members.
A large number of art stars offered condolences to the Sultan of Tarab in the hall of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas on Saturday.
Wadih George Wassouf, the son of the great artist, died on Friday after a health crisis suffered due to complications from the “gastrectomy” operation he had recently performed.
