Merchants in Bogor Market conveying his heart (vent) related to the rampant extortion there. Some of their families were even detained by the police for refusing illegal levies (extortion) by thugs.
The moment that the traders vented was conveyed when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) handed over direct cash assistance (BLT) for cooking oil, Thursday (21/4). At that time, Jokowi accompanied by Seskab Pramono Anung, Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya Sugiarto and Deputy Mayor of Bogor Dedie A Rachim.
During his visit, Jokowi briefly reviewed and distributed souvenirs to traders at Bogor Market. At that time, there were men and women dressed in red confiding in Jokowi and recorded in a video that went viral on social media.
“Father, there are a lot of extortion here, sir,” said the man to Jokowi.
Jokowi then stopped his steps. He watched and listened to the men and women vent while swinging his hands down asking both of them to calm down.
The man and woman hysterically continued to talk to Jokowi about the alleged extortion that was rife in Bogor Market. They also said that his family was arrested by the police for refusing extortion by thugs.
“Please, Father, Om, we refuse extortion, the police arrested him,” said the woman.

Seskab Pramono Record Traders Complaints
Pramono seemed to take notes from the two people.
“Who is imprisoned?” asked Pramono.
“My uncle,” replied the woman.
“Where do you want Eid, there are four children. Father, please help us, sir,” continued the woman.
Jokowi paid attention to the notes that Pramono made when the men and women continued to share their stories.
Jokowi also gave a thumbs up to the men and women.
“Yes, it has been (recorded),” said Jokowi.
