That’s why Mercedes-Benz has decided to gradually withdraw manual transmission from its offer from next year. After all, in most of its models there were only automatic transmissions, with the exception of compact classes A, B and CLA. But even from these, this possibility disappears. Low demand is to blame.

The company’s spokesman commented on the situation at Mercedes in the Automobilwoche website, following up on the words of development chief Marcus Schaeffer, who spoke about the end of the manuals as early as 2020.

This decision is both expected and logical, because according to its plans, Mercedes will gradually switch to the production of purely electric models by the end of this decade.
