Mercedes has announced a service campaign that affects about 800,000 cars worldwide. Problematic water pump of cars of different models of the brand produced in the last four years can give a defect, which in some cases can even lead to fire.
According to Bild, cars from the GLC, GLE, GLS, S-Klasse, E-Klasse, C-Klasse and CLS models manufactured between January 2017 and October 2021 may suffer from this problem.
It is not yet clear when exactly Mercedes will start replacing defective parts and on what principle. This can be a big problem for the company, given that car parts have been in short supply for the last two years, and this will certainly lead to some major delays.
