Mercedes F1 announces sponsorship contract with Solera[F1-Gate.com]

Mercedes F1 has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with vehicle lifecycle management software company Solera.

Solera is a “Vehicle Lifecycle Management Software, Data and Services as a Service” company with over 300,000 customers in over 100 countries around the world.

The deal sees Solera branding appear on Mercedes F1 cars, the left sleeve of driver and pit crew overalls and team clothing. The Solera logo will also be used on Mercedes-Benz AMG cars that will be used for ‘hot laps’ on F1 race weekends in the 2023 season.

“Data innovation, combined with the drive for ultimate performance through people, processes and technology, is the hallmark of successful businesses and teams,” said Mercedes F1 CEO and Team Principal Toto Wolff.

“We are delighted to welcome Solera to the team as a partner, not only because of our reputation as an industry leader, but because of our shared beliefs and values.”

“We are delighted to welcome Solera to our growing family of partners,” said Mercedes F1 commercial director Richard Saunders.

“As leaders in their respective industries, there are many synergies between the two businesses.

“Solera and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team share the same commitment to transforming the automotive industry,” said Solera CEO Darko Dejanovy.

“That’s why we’re excited about this collaboration. It offers an opportunity to break new boundaries and inspire excellence on a global scale.”

Mercedes F1 will announce the 2023 F1 machine “W14” with the Solera logo on February 15 (Wednesday) at Silverstone.
