A renewal and restyling is looming for a German car model much appreciated by the public. Here’s which car we’re talking about …
We have been waiting for it for months. She should arrive in 2023 but… in Germany she has already been spotted and spied on, in particular by a YouTube channel (WalkoArtVideos) which has released a video of it. More photos were then taken at the Nürburgring, a complex of circuits for car and motorcycle competitions that winds around Nürburg Castle. We are talking about the new Mercedes E-Class, ready for restyling: the current generation of cars was introduced in 2016 and confirmed a great success in these six years. Now for sedan and station wagon it seems the time has come for a total renewal with a drawing captivating. More mechanical and technological evolution will follow, rather than a real revolution.
The two prototypes filmed on German roads are practically identical and appear to already have the definitive bodywork. The showy camouflages obviously do not allow to discover evident details but what transpires is the possibility of finding in the new E-Class a slightly smaller grille and thinner LED headlights. The look at the rear should become sportier and more dynamic (new extractor and new headlights, according to the well-informed) and the alloy wheels could also change, along with the more pompous sides. The suspensions pneumatic tires could be offered as an option and, for the first time on the E-Class, the rs should be availablerear steering wheelsas on the older sister Classe S.
New Mercedes E-Class, electric variants arrive?
The dimensions seem not to undergo great variations (4.95 m long, 1.85 m wide, 1.50 m high) and the lines of the station wagon will resume those of the sedan, also with regard to the internal instruments such as the 11.9-inch vertical central display, provided as standard (it will however be available 12.9 inches). Speaking of engines, the electric versions are naturally expected. In fact, the Mild Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid petrol and diesel variants could be ready for 2023.
For the AMG version, however, it is rumored that a configuration with a V6 engines and type technology plug-in hybrid 670 hp (F1 style). If it were not so we will find a version traditional V8as for the G63 models and the upcoming second generation GT. Overall, the new E-Class will follow a development focused on refinements of the electrified platform and powertrain. The latter will benefit from an architecture capable of supporting new features including level 3 autonomous driving (in countries where it is permitted), and full support for 5G connectivity, which will enable over-the-air software updates.
