Mercedes-Benz Museum: Night outside the museum: Open-air cinema starts

This year, too, it is part of the end of summer: the open-air cinema in the Mercedes-Benz Museum. On 16 evenings – from August 22nd to September 8th – there will be films worth seeing. VfB cannot be left out either.

VfB Stuttgart is making the first move: At the start of this year’s open-air cinema in the Mercedes-Benz Museum – shortly before the Bundesliga kicks off – a review of the successful past 2023/24 season will be presented. “VfB Inteam – the season finale” is the name of this first documentary film produced by the Association for Movement Games, recently known as the Association for Enthusiasm.

The final episode will be shown with “emotional highlights”, including a dressing room speech. The 90-minute film document can be seen this Thursday, August 22nd, at 9 p.m.

A mix of genres and styles

A further 15 films will be shown in the museum’s open-air cinema until September 8th. The organizers promise “a colorful mix of genres and styles.” These include films such as the science fiction film “Dune – Part Two,” the action comedy “Deadpool & Wolverine” and the biopic “Back to Black” about the singer Amy Winehouse.

Nature and adventure lovers will get their money’s worth at the “International Ocean Film Tour Vol. 10” and the “European Outdoor Film Tour 2023”. In one case it’s about water worlds, in the other about extreme sports. There is also a designated family film: “Despicable Me 4”.

The films run whatever the weather

The Mercedes Museum is making a statement with the romantic drama “All of Us Strangers”, which is being shown in cooperation with the “Queers & Friends” network of Mercedes-Benz AG. A panel discussion on the topic of “being queer in film” is also planned. All films have one thing in common: admission costs 12 euros per person. Admission to the film screenings, which start between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. depending on the film, is from 7 p.m. A cinema bar offers drinks, popcorn and snacks. According to the organizers, the following applies to all films: there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. The situation is different when there is an official storm warning. On Mondays – as in the museum – nothing is shown.

There are only a few tickets left for some of the films. For more information and tickets, visit www.mercedes-benz.com/oak available.
