The team has not received any communication from the FIA privacy department on this topic, it was surprising to learn about the investigation from the media statement.
We completely reject the allegations contained in the statement and the associated media coverage, which wrongly impinge on the integrity and compliance of our team leader.
We invite full, prompt and transparent correspondence from the FIA Privacy Office regarding this investigation and its contents.”
Formula 1 said in a statement: “We have drawn attention to a public statement made by the FIA which was not communicated to us in advance.
We are completely confident that the accusations are wrong. We have robust processes and procedures in place to ensure that information and responsibilities are shared in the event of any potential conflict of interest.”
