Mercato Premier League: London derby for a Korean defender?

Chelsea and Tottenham are said to compete to sign the center-back of Beijing Guoan, Kim Min-jae. The Spurs would however be the best placed on this file.

A London derby is looming to recruit Kim Min-jae. Beijing defender Guoan was initially coveted by Tottenham and Spurs were joined on the record by Chelsea says the Mirror this Friday. The player is nicknamed “the Monster” because of his large size (1m90).

Chelsea hope to overtake Spurs

Spurs have an advantage in this case is that Kim Min-jae plays for the South Korean national team with forward Heung-min Son. But Chelsea hope to repeat the blow achieved with Wilian in 2013 when both players coveted the Brazilian now at Arsenal. Under contract until December 2021, Kim Min-jae is valued at 2 million euros.
