Absent during the victory of OL – Olympique Lyonnais on the ground of Troyes this Sunday during the 21st day of Ligue 1 for an unknown reason (sick?), Emerson Palmieri (27 years old) seems to like the side of Lyon where he was one of the rare satisfactions of this first half of the season with Les Gones, like Lucas Paqueta.
Currently on loan from Chelsea to Lyon, the Italian international left-back has appeared sixteen times with OL in Ligue 1, under Peter Bosz, where he has scored one goal and one assist.
But with Ben Chilwell’s serious injury to the Blues, Thomas Tuchel has clearly made Emerson Palmieri’s return to Chelsea his top priority for this winter transfer window (the Kurzawa rumor having been denied).
And this to the great displeasure of Jean-Michel Aulas, the big boss of Olympique Lyonnais, who had even refused an offer of 4M€ from the last winner of the Champions League, for the former AS Roma player!
