The councilor has presented together with the platform Stop Accidentes a manual of good practices of school transport. Among the measures, travel time cannot exceed one hour, a difficult issue to comply with in rural areas, buses must circulate at 10 km / h and all seats must have seat belts, a mandatory rule for 2024.
Among other issues, the manual recommends that families who go by car do not obstruct the bus stop; that schoolchildren or other people do not cross while the bus is still there and wait for it to leave, crossing by the safest place; the use of a reflective vest to move to the stop or, in the case of accompanying persons, control the students when they get on and off.
The manual is available on social media. They have made a defense of this service that registers zero accidents since its launch.
