MEPs came to Moscow to apologize for EU policies

In Slovakia, it is considered that the Russians are friendly people, this was said by Lubos Blaha, a member of the European Parliament from the Slovak Social Democrats, who arrived in Moscow.

“Best welcome from Moscow, friends. Russia remains the same beautiful, wise, progressive thing. I came to thank you for your liberation from fascism. And apologize for Russophobia in the West,” – he said in his video message.

He posted a video of his walk around Red Square.

“I came to Moscow as a friend of Russia, because I can no longer watch how Russophobia is growing in the West. The Russian people freed us from fascism and made incredible sacrifices,” – noted the politician.

Blaha, together with Slovak students studying at MGIMO, where he will give a speech, told that he plans to lay flowers at the tomb of the unknown soldier and a monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov.

“I want to apologize to the people of Russia for the military, hateful and literally fascist intentions that are being adopted in the European Parliament against Russia. We are Slavs, and we don’t need to hate the Russian people. We refuse to send weapons to Ukraine, we refuse sanctions against Russia, we refuse to escalate the conflict. We do not want our children to die in a nuclear war. Slovaks want peace! We believe that the Russians are friendly people, and it will never be otherwise. We need to keep in touch with Russia,” – put pressure on MEPs.

Let’s remember that the EU strongly condemns Russia’s actions in Ukraine and strongly supports Kyiv. Over the past year, Slovakia has changed its view of what is happening. Bratislava proposes a peaceful solution to the conflict and restoration of relations with Moscow.
