The Orchestra children’s clothing and childcare chain will close 44 stores in France and 125 in Europe. The group from Montpellier had been placed in the safeguard procedure since last September.

In Occitania, Orchestra will close its stores in Millau and Villefranche-de-Rouergue in Aveyron. In Occitania, Orchestra will mainly transfer the activities of its warehouses in Saint-Aunès and Saint-Jean-de-Védas in Hérault to that of Arras in Pas-de-Calais.
Orchestra also plans to refocus its offer with fewer textile references, to simplify its organization by halving the number of its suppliers and to close its purchasing office in Shanghai. Orchestra employs 2,920 people worldwide and achieved a turnover of 436.8 million euros over the first nine months of the year.
