Professionals from the Mental Health Unit of the Santiago Clinical Hospital conduct a full evaluation of the 13-year-old adolescent who was with the minor who rushed from the second floor of a building in O Carballiño (Ourense).
Sources of the Superior Prosecutor of Galicia They have explained that technicians from the Xunta’s Minors’ service traveled to the Mental Health Unit of the Hospital de Ourense, where the minor is admitted.
Shortly, this adolescent will be transferred to the Mental Health Unit of the Hospital Clínico de Santiago, where a full evaluation of a possible mental disorder or, where appropriate, conduct disorder will be carried out. Once the professionals carry out the mandatory assessment, the Xunta is expected to assume the guardianship of the boy.
Specifically, the events took place around 7:50 p.m. last Thursday, when a girl under the age of 14 rushed from the second floor of a building in O Carballiño. After the adolescent with whom he was at home contacted the 112, medical officers went to the place and transferred the girl to the Ourense Hospital, where it remains in critical condition.
In addition, the Civil Guard is investigating whether the teenager had locked her in the house from which she rushed and if he had hit her on the head with an iron bar that was found at the scene. At the same time, it investigates whether a slight superficial wound that this boy had on the chest and that could have been made with a sharp object was self-inflicted or caused by the minor in self-defense.
