Men’s Volleyball Nations League Final: Poland vs. United States Live Stream, Updates & Results

The teams from Poland and the United States will play this afternoon the title of the Men’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) in the final that they will play in the Polish city of Gdansk.

The duel between the local team and its North American counterpart will take place from 3:00 p.m. in Argentina at the Ergo Arena stadium.

The Polish representative reached the decisive stage after defeating his Japanese counterpart on Saturday in one of the semifinals, 3-1, with partial scores of 19-25, 28-26, 25-17 and 25-21.

The opposite Wilfredo León, born in Cuba but a Polish national, added 23 points and was the main scorer of the winning team.

For its part, the United States beat Italy in straight sets, in the other semi, 3-0, with segments of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-19. The preponderant weapon of attack was Matthew Anderson, with 17 points.

Neither of the two finalists could still win the gold medal. The Polish team achieved runner-up in 2021 and third place in the 2019 and 2022 editions. While the US obtained the silver medal in the 2019 and 2022 seasons, in addition to third place in 2018.

At 12 and for third place, the teams of Japan and Italy will face each other, who eliminated Argentina from DT Marcelo Méndez in the quarterfinals last Wednesday.
