Who made this decision, which caused discomfort among those who did comply with the quarantine, was the attorney of the Court of Mendoza, Alexander Gulle. The main foundation ands prevent the 6,340 cases that remain open from prescribing in line with the times of justice and the hearings where “more serious crimes” prevail.
“We had to take a reality check because it was impossible to bring 6,000 cases to trial, because the hearing agendas are saturated with more serious crimes. It was either that or wait for the prescription of the action, which doesn’t seem healthy to me,” Gullé said in dialogue with Radio Nihuil.
According to the court ruling, people who have violated mandatory isolation and have a case in court will have to donate, at a minimum, two boxes of powdered milk of 800 grams, whose destination will be the General Directorate of Schools (DGE) and the Mendoza Ministry of Health.
“We set as a guideline, taking into account all social classes, a minimum of two boxes of milk to make the conciliation hearing and the consequent extinction of the criminal action. At least in this way we benefit hospitals and schools”, recorded the head of the Mendoza prosecutors.

Who will be eligible for the measure?
Meanwhile, the resolution establishes that this “benefit” It will apply to those who do not have a record or pending measures in addition to having breached the quarantine.
In addition, the prosecutor urged prosecutors to carry out a “exhaustive survey of all the cases in process that have accused personssolely and exclusively for the figure provided for in the Article 205 of the Penal Code”to request the “rescheduling of the Accusation Hearing for the purpose of holding it collectively.”
To speed up the process and avoid the prescription of the causes (and that the offenders give some type of compensation to society), the hearings will be collective by termination of the DNI numberand will be headed by the prosecutors on duty.
“We are going to do a kind of group hearings, classifying the different groups. This is only for those who do not have other types of causes, for those who only have this pending cause. Those who have other causes will not be able to hold these hearings because it is repetitive and the situation is complicated,” concluded the magistrate, who also requested the reopening of the winter judicial fair.
