Early on Saturday evening around 6:20 p.m., a 31-year-old from the Kirchdorf district in Spital am Pyhrn was driving on the B 138 towards Windischgarsten. A 36-year-old from the same district was sitting in the passenger seat. In Spital am Pyhrn, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle in a right-hand bend, drove off the road and crashed into a bridge railing. The car overturned and came to rest on the railing on the right side. Both occupants were lucky and remained uninjured. They then simply left the scene of the accident, as a witness reported.
The fire department was called to recover the vehicle and clean the road. This led to a brief closure of the B 138.
The two occupants were identified a short time later – they will be reported.
