Two men in the US were arrested after a shocking video shared online reportedly showing them operating a dog at home.
The men, who are not qualified vets, were filmed trying to operate on a French bulldog, which ultimately led to their death.
NBC News reported that the video was filmed in the living room of a Florida home when they tried to give the pregnant dog a c-section.
Larry Colon reportedly paid an unlicensed man to perform the operation on his dog Lyla while his teenage daughter was filming her, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office.
The video shows the white dog on a table and a man pulling their pups away while the dog squirms in apparent pain.
The two men and a woman are holding the animal on a stainless steel table with large liquid bottles, plastic wrap and numerous instruments and gloves.
“Process of the Birth of Babies” was the video titled.
A man identified as Frankie Huertas Rivera, 33, turns the animal over and lays his back on the tabletop.
The dog was trembling and writhing in pain, indicating that it was not properly sedated during the unauthorized surgery.
Colon told police he paid $ 650 to Rivera, who claimed to be a veterinarian, to perform the operation, according to the affidavit.
Colon later took Lyla to a veterinary clinic, where a licensed veterinarian notified authorities that the dog was dead upon arrival.

The veterinary clinic’s doctor suspected that Lyla had died of septic shock as a result of contamination from the unlicensed procedure.
The dog had two other unborn puppies who also died.
Colon reportedly told veterinary clinic staff that Lyla’s caesarean section was “performed by a friend of an unlicensed friend at his home,” the affidavit said.
He also told staff that he was “trying to save money and knew that it wasn’t what should have been done”.
Colon is accused of cruelty to animals.
Rivera is also charged with animal cruelty and an additional report of unapproved veterinary practice.
