Memphis rapper Snootie Wild was shot on Friday, Feb. 25, in Houston after an apparent ambush. The rapper sustained a neck injury and was in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries.
ABC 13 reports that a man was found shot in the neck early Friday in the South Side area of Houston. Authorities say they received reports of gunshots around 2 a.m. and discovered a man in a ditch next to an SUV. According to ABC 13, a neighbor captured the shooting on video, which authorities are currently investigating. Houston police are currently investigating his homicide. It is unclear whether they have named any persons of interest.
Snootie Wild was 36 years old. He is best known for signing with Yo Gotti’s Cocaine Music Group (CMG) and his single “Yayo” in 2013.
