Memphis Depay make a sweet debut together Barcelona when facing Girona. He was immediately able to pack a goal for the Blaugrana.
Depay marked his debut with Barcelona in the pre-season test match against Girona which took place at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Sunday (25/7/2021) early morning WIB. The Dutchman joined El Barca this summer from Olympique Lyon on a free transfer.
Depay came off the bench against Girona in the 42nd minute to replace Ray Manaj. When Depay appeared, the Blaugrana were in a 2-1 lead thanks to a Gerard Pique penalty and Ray Manaj’s nicks. Meanwhile, Girona thinned the gap through Samuel Size from the spot.
Depay then also contributed goals for Barcelona this match. He listed his name on the scoreboard in the 85th minute.
The former Manchester United player broke into Girona’s goal after slickly executing the penalty given by the referee. Depay’s goal also ensured Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Girona.

Depay is very happy to be making his debut with Barcelona. He is determined to always give his best to Barcelona for the sake of the fans going forward. He is now looking forward to playing at the Camp Nou.
“I’m very happy to play in this jersey. It’s great to have the audience in the stadium, they are very enthusiastic throughout the game and generate a lot of energy,” said Depay quoted from Barcelona’s official website
“I will work hard to bring great moments to the fans. It was amazing to start at the Estadi Johan Cruyff but I’m sure it will be even better at Camp Nou,” he explained.
