As the magazine “Privatā Dzīve” writes, the memorial event before the cremation took place at noon on August 8, and only five people participated in it – Raimonds Paul himself, his daughter Anete with her husband, and Paula’s granddaughters Annamarija and Monika.
A larger farewell ceremony will be held later, when the urn with the deceased’s ashes will be buried.
Perhaps Lana’s lifelong home will be in the Lāčupe cemetery in Pārdaugava, where the composer’s parents rest.
It has already been reported that on August 4, the public was shocked by the sad news – Lana Paula, the wife of maestro Raimonds Paula, passed away after an illness at the age of 84. The maestro and his spouse would celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary on August 31. As reported by “Privatā Dzīve”, Lana Paula’s health had deteriorated recently.
