The working meeting of PT Pertamina Persero with Commission VI of the DPR, Wednesday (6/7/2022), was ‘hot’. The reason is that the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati was heavily targeted by a number of members of the House of Representatives Commission VI regarding the MyPertamina registration to buy Pertalite and Solar.

The first strong criticism came from a member of Commission VI DPR Nyoman Parta who highlighted that access to fuel was already very difficult for fishermen and farmers. Now with MyPertamina’s obligation, it is feared that it will be more difficult for farmers and fishermen to obtain subsidized fuel.

“When this was brought to MyPertamina, what happened to them? Moreover, many of them do not have access to cellphones and others. The difficulty of accessing this subsidy makes it difficult for them,” said Nyoman

“Does MyPertamina not make it more difficult for those who are already struggling on the field, ma’am?” he said.

Another member of Commission VI of the DPR, Khilmi, stated that using the MyPertamina application to buy fuel only made it difficult for the community. Moreover, the fact is that not everyone in the area has a cellphone.

“Don’t make people buy oil (BBM) it’s difficult, you know. Not everyone has sophisticated communication tools,” said Khilmi.

Khilmi asked Pertamina to make a breakthrough in sorting out vehicles that are eligible and not entitled to receive subsidies.

“So if people want to buy fuel, they don’t show their cellphones or ID cards or MyPertamina, after people buy them, people who are entitled to receive subsidies can be served. IT maintenance at Pertamina is in collaboration with Telkom, it’s so sophisticated,” said Khilmi.

The chairperson of the meeting, Mohamad Hekal said there were many complaints about MyPertamina registration. He also asked how the technical use of the MyPertamina application at gas stations was.

“There are so many complaints, question marks on registration at MyPertamina. How do we use the application even though at the POM we can’t use cellphones, what is Pertamina’s attitude?” said Hekal.
