Members criticize a motorcycle gang for causing mayhem in Deli Serdang

TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto revealed the reason for the incident involving dozens of soldiers TNI suspected of involvement in attacks on civilians in Cinta Adil Village, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), Friday afternoon (8/11).

Agus explained that the incident started when two TNI members criticized a young man who was running on a motorcycle. Then, the young man who was criticized did not accept until arguments and a big fight started.

“It started with young people running around on motorbikes and members were reprimanded, because it disturbed the community, it disturbed the community, it disturbed order on the road. Members of Kodam I (Bukit Barisan) resisted, they did not accept,” Agus said after welcoming 24 TNI Task Force soldiers from the Philippines at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Monday (11/11) .

“There was an argument, a fight, then a big fight started,” he said.

And he emphasized that motorcycle gangs that speed on the streets must be disciplined because they are disturbing the community.

“It needs to be controlled because it disturbs the public, it also disturbs public roads, and most of the motorbikes are broken,” he said.

He said Pangdam I Bukit Barisan had taken steps regarding the victims. And he ensured that the members involved would be processed according to the provisions.

“The Military Commander has taken measures, to the homes of those who died, those who are in the hospital are receiving treatment. We are now processing the members,” he said.

It was reported that 33 TNI soldiers were suspected of being involved in attacking civilians in Cinta Adil Village, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang. One resident died and dozens more were injured as a result of the incident.

Kapendam I Bukit Barisan Colonel Dody Yudha said dozens of soldiers involved were interrogated at Pomdam I Bukit Barisan.

“After the investigation, there were 33 suspects who were confirmed (involved). The perpetrators who were confirmed to be suspected of involvement were further investigated at Pomdam I Bukit Barisan,” said Dody in his statement, Sunday. 10/11).
