Dr. Ashraf Hatem, a member of the Virology Committee at the Ministry of Health, said that we are living in the first wave of the Coronavirus, given that the cases of infection decreased from the end of July until the beginning of August.
Hatem explained, in his interview with the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program, broadcast on the “Al-Hayat” satellite channel, today, Monday, that the death rate has decreased due to the decrease in the virulence of the virus, and the Ministry of Health has a health team with great experience with Corona virus.
He stressed that if a mutation of the virus occurred and a second wave of Corona occurred, it would be with the wave of seasonal influenza virus spread, it is expected that the proportion of cases of vaccination against influenza increased this year.
