Almost everyone is sorry for the lockdown: “Despite all the help, many entrepreneurs are now irritated,” says the Bundestag member Marc Henrichmann <!––> in conversations. “You just want to go back to work,” said the CDU politician. Sarah Martin would like that too <!––>, Owner of “Der Sportklub” in Havixbeck. The parliamentarian now visited the fitness and health studio to talk to the owner about Corona and the consequences.
For Henrichmann, the sports club is representative of other companies and industries. “As an economy, we can’t hold out a lockdown forever,” he said. The federal government is helping entrepreneurs with billions – and this support is being received, said Henrichmann in a press release. The November and December aid have been received by the sports club, “the short-time allowance also helps us,” reported Sarah Martin. Nevertheless, it is getting tight. The owner reported on the positive development of the studio, which is over for the time being. “Some customers quit because they cannot do sports with us. But we cannot acquire new members, ”she said of the dilemma.
According to Henrichmann, there is one way out of this: vaccination. This is where things are moving ahead: “Biontech has promised to increase its capacities and to provide up to 75 million additional vaccine doses in the second quarter,” he said. It is also correct that the Federal Ministry of Health is promoting the approval of easy-to-use corona self-tests. “Tests are always a snapshot, they often only offer false security,” said the parliamentarian.
Henrichmann advocates a cautious, graduated approach in view of the more contagious virus mutations. Contact restrictions were initially necessary. In his opinion, the four opening steps proposed by Chancellor Merkel are on the right track.
Sarah Martin hopes to be there quickly when there are further openings. “We are doing an important job in maintaining the health and rehabilitation of many people,” she emphasized. And thanks to the hygiene concept, air purifier or an app that shows how busy the sports club is, the trained physiotherapist feels well prepared.
