A member of the Parliamentary Development and Liberation Bloc, MP Dr. Inaya Ezz El-Din, responded to what was said by MP Strida Geagea, saying:
“Excuse me, Your Excellency,
We do not wish to stoop to responding to the “broken record” that you and your colleagues have repeatedly used to place responsibility on others who bear it for prolonging the vacuum in the position of the Presidency of the Republic.
No, Your Excellency Representative, there is no comparison between exercising the constitutional right to attend or leave parliamentary sessions, which is a right, and those who deliberately and premeditatedly pursue a policy of systematic destruction and obstruction of constitutional institutions and authorities, most notably the House of Representatives, in order to satisfy the old and new dreams and whims of your party, which it knows. Far and wide, this is a crime.
Your Excellency, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the doors of the House of Representatives are open to fulfill constitutional obligations, especially the Presidency of the Republic, of course, in solidarity and solidarity with all good wills, and of course the House of Representatives has its doors closed against evil wills.
So be wise and fear God for Lebanon and the Lebanese who have reached the age of national maturity to distinguish black from white and truth from falsehood. Whoever does not have the courage to dialogue with others for the sake of Lebanon’s interest and salvation will inevitably, and you are among them, resort to misleading and obstruction… and this is your school.”
