“Melo-M” and Dināra Rudāne have created a new version of Raimonds Pauls’ song “Dāvāja Māriņa” / Article / LSM.lv

Cello trio “Melo-M” in collaboration with singer Dinārs Rudāni releases a new song – a new version of one of Raimonds Pauls’ most popular songs “Dāvāja Māriņa”, which serves as a harbinger of cellist and Rudāne’s upcoming concert activities in the music program “Five Elements”, -M “manager Kaspars Kukuvass.

In the new version of the popular song of Raimonds Pauls with the words of Leonas Briežis “Dāvāja Māriņa” you can hear the sound of a cello and an emotional song in a contemplative and modern mood. Kaspars Kukuvass also noted:

“The song’s recording and musical approach have also been endorsed by the song’s author, maestro Raimonds Pauls.”

The new record is a message for the cello trio “Melo-M” collaboration with Dinārs Rudāns, which has culminated in the music program “Five Elements” for more than a year.

The concert program “Five Elements” is dominated by five different musical moods – academic music, rock and pop music, songs by Latvian authors and references to folk or world music.

The name of the concert program is also unexpectedly associated with a special musical surprise – the composition “Diva’s Dance”, staged in collaboration between the soloist and “Melo-M”, which is better known from the film “Fifth Element” and stands out with special vocal complexity.

Other compositions in the program include the song “Who Wants To Live Forever” by the group “Queen”, the rock anthem “Smoke On The Water”, “Sweet Dreams” sung by Annie Lenox, as well as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Night Queen’s Aria from the opera “Magic flute ”and many other compositions.

This autumn, the concert program “Five Elements” “Melo-M” and Dināra Rudāne offer to attend several concerts in Latvian city cultural centers.

The next concerts are expected on October 9 at Bergi Culture Center, October 18 at Jelgava Culture House, October 23 at Alūksne Culture House, October 30 at the Sigulda Devons Culture Center and November 20 at the Latgale Embassy “Gors”.
