“Mélissane Damen-Joyeux to Play Joan of Arc at Reims’ Fêtes Johanniques”

This year, it is Mélissane Damen-Joyeux who will play Joan of Arc during the next Fêtes Johanniques de Reims, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June. Aged 18 and a student in the final year of the Jean XXIII high school, this distinguished rider will therefore be present at all times during the festivities organized around the cathedral, but also, like last year, at the foot of the Saint-Remi basilica. . On Saturday morning, she will notably accompany Charles VII for the symbolic handing over of the keys to the city by the mayor of Reims, while in the evening, she will lead the procession of the Grand Parade.
