Melissa Marcolongo, the young Venetian parcel maker competing in the well-known Rai1 program Affari Tuoi, hosted by Stefano De Martino, concluded her exciting game with the nice win that will allow her to follow a master’s degree abroad after having obtained, a few days ago, degree in International Relations at the University of Bologna.

On Friday evening the twenty-seven year old from Campodoro kept the viewers of the program glued as they cheered for her. After 23 bets it was his turn to try his luck with opening packages and try to take home a win. Her father Andrea Marcolongo is next to her to give her support and advice in her choices, while mother Stefania is at home cheering her on. Melissa signed up for the program a year ago, encouraged by her grandfather Mariano, who passed away last year and was a great fan of the program. «Grandpa always told us “why don’t you sign up, you can try it too”, and so I did and this year I was called to participate – says the twenty-seven year old -. It was a beautiful experience. It’s all as you see on television, the emotion, the joy, the friendliness of De Martino and the bond that is created with the other competitors is sincere. Everyone is there trying their luck.” «I didn’t have any numbers to call that I was particularly attached to – continues Melissa – and I relied on what I felt at that moment. When I reached the end I was even tempted to go ahead and open my package, but I couldn’t refuse the offer of 42,500 euros. It’s money, and today I can also think about the possibility of a master’s degree abroad. Those that are said at the end of the program are not clichés, it was truly a wonderful experience that I will never forget.”
EXCITING RACE
An exciting match which from the beginning saw the young competitor sweep away, with her choices of numbers, a good part of the ten blue parcels, i.e. those containing the lowest figures from 0 to 200 euros. At mid-game there were still seven red packages with important winnings up for grabs, and three blue ones. Luck allowed her to arrive at the end with two red packages: the number 1 that she had from the beginning and the 6 of Calabria, 75,000 euros or 10,000 euros, the two remaining winnings with a 50% chance for one and for the other. But one step away from the final, the “doctor”‘s offer popped up, to which Melissa couldn’t say no.
