Melissa Gorga heard about it from fans on Instagram after showing off an expensive purchase with a confusing caption.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star has a net worth of $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But not all the money comes from the real estate and construction businesses of her husband, Joe Gorga. In addition to her well-paid stint on RHONJ, Melissa is a published author, hosts her own podcast, “On Display,” and owns a New Jersey clothing boutique, Envy.
But even though she earns a lot of her own money, some fans were put off by Gorga’s recent photo of a luxury car.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on July 31, 2022, Melissa Gorga wore a two-tone dress while posing next to a shiny Lamborghini sports car. “I like my cars like I like my men. Italian,” he captioned the post.
Several fans were confused by Gorga’s use of the word “men,” considering she’s been married to Joe for nearly two decades.
“Men or man?” a commenter asked.
“Men? As in more than one? someone else wanted to know
“Men in the plural… lol. Poor Joe,” joked another.
But other fans were more put off by Gorga showing off his expensive car. Lamborghinis are some of the most expensive luxury sports cars on the market, costing $200,000 to $500,000 or more, according to Lamborghini Paramus.
“How out of touch do you have to be to show off the car you drive on social media? Americans are paralyzed and strangled by inflation. This one wants to show you her lambo. DISGRACE!” one reviewer wrote.
“We are in a recession. People are struggling to pay bills and feed their families. People are stealing food to survive. But we have to brag,” wrote another.
“U 2 r just ripping through that $ Do you ever think about college? @meliisagorga @joeygorga,” asked another follower in reference to Gorga’s four children.
“I wonder if you donate to any charity?” a fourth follower asked the Bravo star.
“Keep showing what you got and they will rob you like Dorit [Kemsley] from Beverly Hills,” another commenter wrote.
At the time of this writing, Gorga has not responded to criticism of his post.

Not only does Gorga have a flashy journey, but she’s currently building her dream home in New Jersey, and she’s getting exactly what she wants, down to the last detail.
In a video posted by Bravo.com in January 2022, Joe Gorga said that he was building his wife’s dream home for her.
“[Melissa] he said, ‘I want a new house: white, new, modern,’” he said in a video filmed on the first day of construction. “I got an architect. we design [it] the way we wanted, exactly what Melissa wanted. ‘I want a big closet. I want this, I want that, I want a big laundromat,’ and here we go.”
After Melissa said that all she really cares about is a “big closet, a big kitchen,” Joe revealed the reason he was letting her call the shots. “Happy wife, happy life,” said RHONJ’s husband.
