Melissa Flores Crowned Winner of Universal Mexican Pageant, Represents Mexico at Miss Universe

Glamor and beauty were the protagonists during the national final of the Universal Mexican pageant, whose winner was Melissa Flores, representative of the state of Michoacán and who will carry the name of Mexico high in Miss Universe.

Therefore, the new queen, who has a degree in psychology, will have two and a half months to prepare and polish her skills, since the international Miss Universe pageant will be in El Salvador on November 18.

In the Aguascalientes Convention Center there was a total party during this coronation, since the public present at no time stopped shouting cheers for their favorite, with banners, posters and whistles.

Melissa’s understudy is Andrea Farillfrom the state of Guerrero, who pointed out that he could not be more grateful for how far he has come and for having put the name of his entity on high.

Irma MirandaMexicana Universal 2022, who is currently a semifinalist of “MasterChef Celebrity” Mexico, left her crown to put it on Melissa Flores, but not before saying a few words.

“This reign has been a call to serve and inspire others, to be a constant reminder of the responsibility we have as ambassadors of our culture and the values ​​we represent.

“I had the honor of meeting and working with exceptional people, I have had the opportunity to bring the beauty and richness of our nation to global stages, showing the world the diversity and passion that characterizes my Mexico,” said Miranda.

The winning typical costume is the titled: “The colors of Mexico guardian alebrije” by Ángel Ramses, which pays homage to the culture of Oaxaca, which is made up of an owl and a deer, which are important in Zapotec psychology, They represent wisdom and focus.

This meeting, led by Arturo Carmona and Adriana Bazarte, was enlivened by different singers such as Alexander Acha, Los Claxons and Nicole Favre and Frederick Kelley.

There were different catwalks, in which -at first- the 32 candidates for the crown appeared, who danced and were presented one by one, later, there was a qualifying round and until 16 of them remained.

Then there was the parade in a bathing suit and evening dress, to later have a second round, only 10 participants remained, who passed the communication test where they were asked a question and had to show their best answer.
