Ten media figures from different fields were the protagonists of this first season of Storytime, a project of interviews and conversations that we publish in nacion.com and that allowed us to get to know very personal and specific issues of faces such as Melissa Durán, Fabiola Herra and Gerardo Zamora.
Melissa Durán allowed us to learn about her experience raising her husband’s daughters, those girls who, she says, were born in her heart. At the time, Fabiola Herra spoke of the most sacred thing in her life: her daughters and how it has been for her to bring them forward after the soccer player Gabriel Badilla, their father, passed away. Also, the journalist Gerardo Zamora related the feelings experienced fighting a tumor in his eye and how he assumed the loss of that organ.
Lussania Víquez: her life after overcoming cancer and the hope of being a mother
This first season also featured the participation of the presenter of Repretel, Lussania Víquez, who spoke about life after defeating (breast) cancer and the immense desire she has to be a mother, a subject that has taken its time due to the affectation that he had (from the treatment) in his ovarian reserve. Lussania does not lose faith and her story not only allows us to know more about her and her deepest feelings, but it has also inspired many people in their different life processes.
That was precisely one of the objectives of the project: apart from presenting up-close and novel stories of different media figures, it was intended that their stories and experiences would transmit some teaching to those who decided to see the different episodes.
