Newly divorced Melinda Gates rocked a few designer hiccups during a visit to New York on Sunday, stepping down from her private helicopter in style.
Melinda Gates sported stylish duds on Sunday, October 10, landing in New York City by helicopter. The 57-year-old divorcee looked relaxed as she stepped off her private plane, heading for the Big Apple as a head-to-toe designer. Through Sixth page, the billionaire’s ex-wife Bill Gates, 65, who received more than $ 2 billion in stock after filing for divorce in May, was carrying a $ 5,000 set. SEE THE PHOTOS HERE!
The outfit included a light pink Givenchy cardigan that costs $ 1,790 and details the brand’s oversized logo on the back. The 56-year-old wore the sweater over a white top and paired the look with black ankle-length pants, also wearing white Givenchy sneakers that cost $ 495. For her trip to the big city, Melinda brought along a black Balenciaga tote bag valued at $ 1,290.
Bill and Melinda announced their separation in May in a social media statement, saying they “no longer believe that we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives” but “will continue our work together” at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Two weeks later, the le journal Wall Street reported that Microsoft’s board decided to remove Bill from its board in 2020 as it investigated the billionaire’s previous romantic relationship with an employee at the tech company. Bill admitted to having an affair during his marriage to Melinda, although he claimed it was unrelated to his “transition out of the board.”

Although the ex-husband and wife did not sign a marriage contract, they decided to divide the property on the basis of a separation contract which was not filed with the court and whose terms were not disclosed. The couple apparently signed the contract in May before announcing their separation after 27 years of marriage and, according to court documents, “must comply” with its terms.
