Melenara seaside reopened after the shark that approached the shore left

The Departments of Seashores and Citizen Security of the Telde Metropolis Council have agreed this Sunday to reopen Melenara seaside to bathing “after the departure of the shark that approached the coast” of the municipality this Saturday.

Melenara seaside closed to swimming because of the presence of a shark

This has been reported by councilors María Calderín and Miguel Rodríguez, who’ve assured “that at this second there isn’t a hazard for bathers.”

Even so, the providers of the Native Police, Civil Safety and Proactiva, an organization that gives lifesaving providers on the municipality’s coast, work in a coordinated method to oversee that the animal doesn’t strategy once more.

This Saturday the prevention protocol needed to be activated in response to the sighting of a shark close to the Teltense coast, so the crimson flag was raised on the seaside mast and bathers have been evacuated from the water.

Early this Sunday, the members of Proactiva verified that the animal was not within the neighborhood with a sweep on a jet ski, assisted by the aerial digicam of the drone unit (Unidron) of the Telde Native Police that directed by Juan José Florido.

On this method, at 10:00 a.m. the inexperienced flag was raised.

Florido assured Calderín and Rodríguez this Sunday that “the rapprochement has been a particular occasion” and that “the scenario this Sunday has returned to its typical calm.”

A number of individuals recorded and shared photographs of the shark on social networks because it approached the sand, to the shock of the bathers. The animal was recognized as a hammerhead shark.
