Meldy Mélody, self-taught pianist, versatile by nature

the essentials Aged 27, Meldy Mélody has already accumulated a large number of awards. Composer, dancer, singer, pianist. The Toulousaine is a real Swiss army knife who does not refuse a challenge. She recently participated in a competition in the United States where she collected 14 medals.

This year, Meldy Melody flew to Los Angeles to represent France at the World Championships of Performing Arts. This international competition brings together the cream of artists of all kinds. Singing, dancing, modeling… Everyone practices their art to try to win the best titles. Present in several categories, Melody returned to France with her arms laden with gold.

“It started by chance”

It was during the lockdown that Mélody learned about the championship. From casting to casting, she arrived in 2023 at the World Championships of Performing Arts, where the titles ended up raining down: triple World Champion in three different instrumental categories, double bronze medalist in curvy model, a gold medal as a finalist, etc. “It started by chance and I worked all year with musical performances to finance this championship,” she says. She didn’t give up and it paid off since she returned last July. This year again, she won many titles: triple World Champion instrumentalist 2024, World Champion in opera, triple gold medalists and double silver medalists in instrumental categories. Her gold medal in opera surprised her, “it was really surprising to win that” notes Mélody. Singing, which she practiced at the Maîtrise du Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, is no longer really her specialty. Her cover of Ave Maria allowed her to receive this prestigious distinction.

“Freedom, passion and perseverance”

After five self-produced albums, Mélody is preparing her sixth album. She has dreams in her head. “I would really like to tour in France and why not abroad,” she continues. “I want to touch all artistic circles: theater, sewing, film music.” Her motto: “freedom, passion and perseverance.” Everything is coming together for the Toulouse native who was named Miss Curvy Midi-Pyrénées in 2023.
