MELCHSEE-FRUTT: Lawyer explains his objection
A solution is emerging for the construction of a new house for hotel employees on the Frutt. But points of contention remain.

After an initial project failed due to objections, Hotel Frutt Lodge & Spa AG can build the urgently needed staff house at a new location. However, the prerequisite is that the meeting of the Kernser Alpgenossenschaft outside the stone bridge on November 24th says yes to the sale of 1000 square meters of land.
But why was there actually an objection to the change in the zoning plan from the alpine farming zone to the holiday home zone? Lucerne lawyer Marc Kaeslin is one of the objectors and explains his actions. “At the first public release of the planned zoning change in spring 2009, I became fully aware that the corporation and the local community were planning additional houses in the illegally filled area to the west of the existing development,” said Kaeslin when asked. He didn’t want to accept that because the developed terrain was many meters lower.
