(ANSA) – NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 5 – Former first lady Melania Trump is teasing the upcoming release of her autobiography next month in a social media video, calling the book an opportunity to set the record straight about her life. “Writing this autobiography has been a deeply personal and thoughtful journey for me,” the former first lady says in the black-and-white video, which features footage of her four years in the White House alongside husband Donald Trump. “As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentations, I feel a responsibility to set the record straight. I think it’s important to share my perspective: the truth,” she explains. The video is one of Melania’s rare appearances, as she has mostly stayed away from the campaign trail this year. She attended the final night of the Republican National Convention in July, but declined to deliver a speech to introduce her husband, breaking a decades-long tradition. (ANSA).
