“I had never made a political video before. Until now ”, the son of this legendary figure in the world of cinema Max Brooks wrote today on Twitter, when he published the clip.
“Hello friends. I’m Mel Brooks. Behind me (outside the house and with a window separating them) are my son and my grandson. And they can’t be with me here. Because? Because of this coronavirus, ”he said.
“And Donald Trump is not doing anything about it,” he added.
“Many people have already died. When you’re dead, you can’t do too many things… ”, he quipped, before assuring that he will vote for Joe Biden.
“Why do I like Joe? Because Joe likes the facts, he likes the science. Joe will keep us looking forward. Listen to my advice: vote for Joe, ”he recommended.
In the first four hours after being posted on Twitter today, the video received more than 100,000 ‘likes’ and was shared more than 38,000 times.
This video supporting Biden is the umpteenth example of the flawless support for Democrats that Hollywood has given in the November 3 presidential election.
This election comes after four years in which the film, television and music ‘stars’ in the United States have almost unanimously criticized Trump and denounced his policies on topics such as immigration, feminism, climate crisis and racism, among many other subjects.
