The 16th International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) opened its doors to the general public on Friday morning in Meknes, after four days full of debates and exchanges between the different participants (ministers, professionals, experts, etc.) .
Established over an area of 12.4 hectares, including 11 hectares covered, this show offers its visitors, Moroccans and foreigners, a festive atmosphere over the next three days, with activities in multiple areas, including those of breeding and local products which are experiencing significant influx.
Also, SIAM, as a space for exchange and action, promotes the adoption of innovative and environmentally friendly agricultural practices, while facilitating the dissemination of knowledge and technologies to the general public to strengthen ability of farmers to adapt to changing climatic conditions.
This edition, with the participation of more than 70 countries, presents for the first time the “Agri-digital” Pole which is initiated by the Digital Pole of Agriculture, Forestry and the Drought Observatory.
Organized from April 22 to 28 under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, SIAM, a major event in the agricultural field, highlights the progress made by Morocco in this crucial sector for economic growth.
This edition, held under the theme “Climate and Agriculture: For sustainable and resilient production systems”, sees the participation of Spain as country of honor with a welcoming pavilion and an important representation of companies covering all stages of agricultural production (agricultural inputs, nurseries, irrigation and industrial refrigeration technologies).
