A Chinese electronics manufacturer has come up with bad news for its users. Namely, the technology company Meizu she announced, that it is ending the production of smartphones. Instead, it will focus on developing and manufacturing AI-enabled devices.
The fact that the company has decided to bet everything on artificial intelligence also follows from the new slogan. It reads “All in AI”, in Czech translation “Vše v AI”. According to the Chinese server Gizmochina the company wants to focus on a strategic shift to focus on the “devices of tomorrow”.
It is not the first time that the company has announced major changes. Previously, it was engaged in the production of MP3 players, but with the growth in popularity of smart phones, it began to focus on their production. He is now also focusing on the development of smart glasses.
It already bet on ecology last year. “In 2023, we have successfully transformed Meizu from a smartphone manufacturer to an eco-friendly group,” said Meizu Group CEO Shen Zyiu. Despite the changes, the company has assured its users that it will maintain support for operating systems and services.
